Director of Diablo 4 Gold the game Joe Shely told Polygon in a roundtable interview during a roundtable discussion that "having your character appear to be an assortment of choices you made leads to really interesting choices, or at least interesting opportunities."Shely added"The Diablo group is conscious that the players particularly those who are just beginning their journey won't be fully aware of the specifics of each class' capabilities. It is expected that players want to explore.
"When you look at our respec systems" Shely said, "which include both the skill tree and to Paragon for higher levels which is our ultimate development system. "We've focused on approaching the system in a manner where you're choosing a path is crucial and that your character's different from every else's character, but that there is plenty of flexibility to try things out.
"You've gained the capability to change the spec of a point by point. You just need to click to stop spending a point and spend it on another item and as you move older, the amount rises to make choices more thoughtful. Of course, you may also revise your entire tree at once , if you are looking to rebuild it from the beginning."
Fergusson noted that as players go deeper and deeper into their character "the cost of the game's currency to respect gets higher and higher until you get to the point that you're playing a level 90 Barbarian rather than completely changing my build it's better to roll a different Barbarian and start all over."
